During his period in Juventus as Talent Scout Francesco Lamazza discovered Sebastian Giovinco.
With Gallaratese, at his first experience as Sport Director, Francesco Lamazza achieved the result of build a team that was able to get the qualification to the play off games where after having win the first games saw Gallaratese lose the final game against Corsico.
After his experience with Gallaratese in amatorial football, Lamazza moved in Professional Football beign signed as Sport Director by Lega Pro 1 club Pro Patria for the season 2008/2009. He built a team able to maintain the first position of the table for the first 31 games. At the end of the season the team reached the second place and losed the Play Off final game against Padova. During his first year as Sport Director in Pro Patria, when the club was in Lega Pro 1, Francesco Lamazza signed for free the Brazilian player Guilherme Raymundo do Prado, that after having been the best player of the season for the club was sold two years later to Southampton for more than one million. With the British club Do Prado played more than 100 official games. The year after, Pro Patria was sold to a new owner and Lamazza stayed at the club without any responsability just to being able to subscribe to the final exames for Sport Director License. In that season the team was relegated in Lega Pro 2. Getting back his responsability as Sport Director during the season 2010/2011, Lamazza build a team able to win the league of Lega Pro 2. During that season Italian FIGC disqualified the team because the President of the club didn't pay the salary to players and staff, so the team was moved down in the table and had to play Play Off games. During Play Off Pro Patria losed the final game against Feralpi Salò.
After financial problems of Pro Patria Lamazza leaved the club and in November of 2011 signed a contract with Lecco, a club of Lega Pro 2 that was at the moment at the last place in the table with only 4 points in the first 15 games. At the end of the season the club was able to reach the Play Out games making 41 points. The team losed the Play Out game against Mantova.
With Pro Sesto, in Italian Serie D, he was called to save the team from relegation and he was able to do that getting the 16° place.
With Carrarese in Italian Lega Pro he was able to save the team getting again the 16° place.
The Sicilian club got during the season 2017/18, with Lamazza as Sport Director, the 6th place of the table.
During the season 2018/2019, Lamazza, after having signed with Sambenedettese (Lega Pro), build a team able to reach the third place in November 2018. After this superb beginning of the season the President of Sambenedettese fired the coach and after having problems about this decision Lamazza was fired too.
