Apostolos begins to take the first steps of his football career at Adelaide Comets, one of the many clubs in Adelaide. Shortly before he comes of age, he is hired by the other Adelaide team, United, where he will play in the Under 21 team, already at 17, before making his debut in the first team and in the A-League in 2018, just of age, season where he will make 8 appearances and 3 goals. In 2019 he moves to Western United where he lives a not too positive season. The turning point, however, comes in the 2020/2021 season with the passage to the Newcastle Jets where he scores 12 games and 3 goals. Thanks to this season comes the leap to Europe, precisely to Rhodes, in the Greek Super League 2. Apostolos Stamatelopoulos is a penalty striker, gifted with an excellent nose for goal and excellent attacking moves worthy of the great 9 in the penalty area.
