CAREER
Born in France, Sambissa is of Republic of the Congo descent. He was a youth international for France. He represented the senior Republic of the Congo national team in a friendly 1–0 win over Niger on 10 June 2021.

He started his career with Bordeaux, joining the club at the age of 16. He played 53 games with Bordeaux B in the fourth tier, with occasional appearances on the bench for the senior squad. During this period he was selected and played with France U16, U17 and U18.
After spending the 2016–17 season in the fifth tier with US Lège Cap Ferret, he moved to the Netherlands, signing with Twente where he played with the Second Team "Jong Twente" in the Dutch Third Tier. There he played 26 games scoring 2 goals. 
On 23 April 2018, he signed a one-year contract (with one-year extension option) with another Dutch club, SC Cambuur.
He made his Eerste Divisie debut for Cambuur on 17 August 2018 in a game against N.E.C., as a starter. In his first season with Cambuur he played 38 games scoring one goal and helping the team in reaching the Promotion Play Off. Cambuur losed the final against De Graafschap. 

During the season 2019/20 he played other 29 games with Cambuur serving two assists before the Covid break.Cambuur was first in the table before the sospension and the cancellation of the season. 

Season 2020/21 was the season of his final exploit. He was a key player for Cambuur who dominated and won the league, he played 29 games scoring one goal and serving 7 assist, having in this way influenced one goal every 3.6 games. At the end of the season he was called by Congo beginning his International Career with his ancient country.

DESCRIPTION
David Sambissa is a fast and powerfull left back, able to play as well in offensive positions such as Right Winger. He is a player able to attack mostly, his off the ball run are constant during the game and he always find a way to go to the crosses. He has a good dribbling quality that allows him in overcome opponent's pressure. He is a player able to make very fast and strong come back to break opponent's counterattack, ideal for a team that play with an high defensive line. He is a player with a good decisionmaking quality, he is able at the end of his runs to make the right decision in order to give to his attack a final shooting by himself or his teammates.
