Federico Vazquez, nicknamed "Cabezon" (big head), due to the size of his head when he was still child, he began playing soccer at the age of four in a 5-a-side soccer team called Associacion Italiana Rotonda. In 2002, at the age of 9, he was bought by Velez, one of the most popular club in Argentina, in which he stayed for the entire Youth Career before that he joined the First Team in the 2013/14 season, at the age of 20. Vazquez made his debut in the first team on 01/02/2014 when he took over Mauro Zarate in the Supercup Final won by Velez against Arsenal Sarandi. A few days later he also made his debut in Copa Libertadores, in the match won by Velez against Universitario (Peru). He ended the season with another apparence in Copa Libertadores and mading his debut in the Primera Division. In the second season with Velez first team he played eight games. In 2016, in his third season with Velez he was loaned to Instituto (Second Division Argentina), making 15 appearances and scoring one goal. In the following season he was loaned to Estudiantes de Mérida (Venezuelan First Division) where he scored one goal and served one assist in 10 appearances. At the age of 24 Vazquez decided to take advantage of his Italian passport and he moved to the Italian Club Troina in Serie D for the 2017/18 season. Vazquez immediately became a keyl element of the team, scoring many goals game after game. Worthy of notes are his performances against Aciriale and Igea Virtus, when he scored two hat-tricks, and two more doubles in the games against Aciriale and Ebolitana. At the end of the season, he had scored 20 goals and served 3 assists in 29 appearances, leading the team to the Serie D play-off (lost in the semifinals against the Igea Virtus).
The following season he was bought by Siracusa, club of Serie C. With the Sicilian team he scored 9 goals and served 2 assists in 31 games. Between those there were two extraordinary goals, one against Paganese and the other against Sicula Leonzio, both scored from the thirty meters with his powerful and angled right foot. Becoming an important name for the Serie C Championship, it was purchased by Virtus Francavilla, with which in the first 12 games of the 2019/20 championship, between Serie C and Coppa Italia, he scored 6 goals and served 1 assist.

DESCRIPTION
Federico Vazquez is a Second Striker that can cover all the roles of the attack. He can play as lonly sriker, and can play with another one. He can moves in the spaces, attack the deep spaces and come to the ball to help the team in the construction of the attacking phase. He has technique and speed, he kicks with strength and accurancy. Since he has been in Italy he has scored 35 goals and served 6 assists in 72 games. He knows how to score in all the ways, heading the ball crossed by the sides, kicking on the second post, from short and long distances, and kicking a free kick... He is a complete striker, who is inspired and knows how to make himself dangerous at any moment of the game. He is good playing on a counterattack style and at the same time moving in tight spaces thanks to his technique and his agility. Like many Argentinian players, he is charachterized by his determination and his hunger. He is an extraordinarily determined player, who in the last few years, always managed to reach the level of play necessary to decide the games of the Championship in which he played. It is in constant growth. My opinion is that Vazquez is ready for the Italian Serie B, and that should be closely monitored by smaller Serie A teams, which could, quality / price, get their hands on a player who until now, since he is in Italy, has decided almost all the games he played. |
