Glen Kamara began his football formation in Finland, firstly with OT-77 (2003-2007), after with EPS (2008-2010). in 2011, when he was just 16 years old, he moved in England to join the Academy of Southend United. After only one year with the British club he was signed by Arsenal. At first Kamara joined up the club's academy. In the meantime he was called by Finnish u19 National Team. With Arsenal he became a regular starter of U19 team with which he played all the games of 2013 UEFA Youth League reaching the Round of 16. In that competition he served an assist in the game against Borussia Dortmund. In the same season he was selected to be part of Arsenal U23, with which he played more than 40 games. In 2014/2015 season he went on to be an unused substitute for Arsenal's first Team UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray. Kamara made his first team debut for Arsenal a day before his 20th birthday on 27 October 2015, up against Sheffield Wednesday in the football league cup fourth round. He became immediately a starter of Finalnd U21 with which he played European Cup U21 Qualifications Games. In January 2016 he moved on loan to Southend United playing in English league one. He played only 6 games in the 4 months of loan. In the summer of 2016 he moved on loan to Colchester United (League Two), there he played only 6 games in 6 months. In the summer of 2017 he was signed by Dundee FC (Scottish Premier League) for free (Arsenal mantains the 25% of next sell). There he became immediately a key player of the team, playing 39 games between Scottish Premier League, League Cup and Scottish FA Cup. In Scotland he showed all his talent earning a call from Finnish Senior National Team with which he made debut on 9 November 2017 and played again in January and March 2018. |
