​Coach joel de castro joel castro as a player earned a call for under 16 of portugal national team. He also won third division of portugal playing in benfica de castelo branco when he was only 18 years old. He played in several teams and once decided to end his football career he started immediately to work, with different jobs, in technical teams. He started to coaching football in a football school in cape verde during the year 2012. He also worked as scout and goalkeeper coach in sporting de pombal with which he won league and cup of leiria. In capo verde he has been three years as head coach in 3 different teams. Spartak do fogo was the first experience as a head coach in a senior team and was brilliant season for the team because they won their first championship in a 14 years of history. Second experience was boavista da praia where joel de castro won the super cup. The last experience in cape verde was in a project that involved many young players. Nova era fc won the second division with only one lose. Joel de castro put the team on the first division and gave the chance to many yourng talented players to prove their level in the highest national competition. The experience of joel in cape verde was echoed in the home country´s national press because joel was the first portuguese coach having coached in cape verde. His more important individual works, concerning the development of players was with a 18 years old player called from senior national team of cape verde. This player, rudy monteiro, was sold to portugal premier league club maritimo. Other than uefa course joel has been participating in several formations stages in spain and in england.
