Between season 03/04 and 04/05 he played 37 games and became champion of the Clausura 2005 (participating with a decisive goal in a fondamental match against Racing Club). He was loaned firstly to Argentinos Juniors during the season 05/06, after in 2007 to Cucuta Deportivo (Colombia) where he played for the first time the Copa Libertadores, getting the qualification to the semi-final and scoring 4 goals in 11 games (he was the fifth best scorer of the competition). He was immediately signed on loan with option by Saudi club Al-Shabab. He came back in Vélez Sarsfield on August 2008. In that season he played 24 games scoring 3 goals and serving 7 assists. He played other three seasons with his former club Velez Sarsfield, playing 124 games, scoring 28 goals and serving 27 assists. He won Clausura 2009 and in 2010 he personally won the "best goal of the season" award, scoring a "maradonian" goal against Racing. He was also named as second best player of the season.
