CAREER

Lukass Vapne has sport in its DNA; son of a basketball player and a football player and his uncle an ice hockey player, he has the only ambition to become a professional player.

Born in Riga, his career began at the age of three and a half with FS Metta, his current home club.

Elected best Latvian player in the U13 category, in U14 he confirmed himself as the best player, also winning the Silver Ball of his age group, an award that earned him the call of the U15 national team, despite playing a year under age.

In 2018 he won the U15 Riga Cup tournament, playing in the final against PSV Eindhoven and, consequently, got a move to the U16 of FS Metta, as well as joining the Latvian Under 16 national team.

In 2019 has started playing with the reserve team of FK Metta, captain of his team. With the U17 of Latvia has collected 8 appereances debuting at the age of 15.

In 2020 has joined the first team of FK Metta debuting in Virsliga the 16/06 against Spartaks. So far has collected 12 appereances and 2 assists

DESCRIPTION

Lukass is the classic offensive midfielder with very remarkable qualities, skills that are considered as pure talent: vision, time of playing the ball, ideas and quality of passing and shooting; very difficult for the opponents to read his passes, fast key passes with one touch. He uses to get the ball very low in the midfield to help in the construction of the action passing the ball very fast and with often long passes to the other side of the pitch. He kicks all the corners and free kicks. In addition he has a very good body structure, 185cm x 70kg.
