DESCRIPTION
Liban Abdulhai started his career playing with HFC Harleem, the club of his town. At the age of 15 he was scouted and noticed by Ajax, that decided to sign him.
During his youth career he has also played with Groningen between 2012 and 2014. With Groningen he was playing the U19 Eredivisie, playing against top clubs like Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, Twente. He was a regular starter of the team, and during the second season in U19 he became also the captain of the team. 

​He was 20 years old (21 in November) and a regular starter, who became key player of SC Telstar. He played 36 games, scored 4 goals and served 4 assists playing as nr.8 and nr.10. He was at the end of the season one of the best midfielder of the league. But before the season was ended, on the eleventh minute of 36 round game against Dordrecht he suffered a broken leg. He spent all the season 2017/18 recovering from the injury, making his debut with Tesltar U21 on April 2018, almost one year later. In Summer of 2018 his contract with Tesltar ended. Eredivisie club De Grafschaap signed him as free agent. He had to remove the surgery rod from his leg, so he passed the first month of the season 2018/19 recovering and training. In October he was on the bench during Cup game and from there he played with the U21 Team until the end of the season. Once season ended, in August 2019 he signed with Jonkopings (Superattan), it was middle season for them, and they were in the 4° place, doing very well and looking to be promoted. The team was winning almost all the games, so he made is debut in Cup, where he played 41 minutes in the second half. In September he made his debut in Superattan, playing 90 minutes (the game is just on the bottom of this report), he played again in October other two games as second half sub.   
On December 2019 he made his debut with National Team of Somalia, playing in the group stage of CECAFA Cup.

​During 2013/14 he has also played in U21 Beloften Eredivisie (U21 Championship). After having played with the U21 of Volendam during 2014/15 season, he made his professional debut with SC Telstar at the age of 19 playing in Netherlands Second Tier - Keuken Kampioen Divisie, playing 12 games as second half sub between League and Cup. 
Season 2016/17 was the season where all the scouts in Netherlands and outside noticed him.
