CAREER
​Peter Barath was born in Kisvarda and started playing for Gyulahaza KSE. In 2015 he moved to the Kisvarda youth academy where he remained for only one year. On 25/08/2016, in fact, he moved to Debreceni where he was raised in the U-17 and U-19 youth teams. He shows all the qualities and potential of him and on 25/01/2020, still a minor, he made his debut in the Hungarian top flight in the 4-0 victory against Ujpest. He closes the season with another 6 appearances but together with his teammates he relegates to Serie B. On 08/26/2020 he starts the championship and he is immediately decisive in the final 3-0 thanks to the first goal among the greats. He has a great season with 5 goals and 5 assists in his 22 appearances in NB II helping the team regain promotion to NB I. In the current season he is playing a starter in multiple roles and has managed to provide two assists in the 19 times he took the field between the league and Magyar Kupa, the National Cup. With the youth teams of Hungary he has scored 4 goals in 12 appearances with U-17, played 2 games with U-18 and is currently part of the U-21 national team with which he scored a goal, on 07 / 09/2021, in one of the 6 appearances valid for qualifying for the European category.

​TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Peter Barath is a flexible player who can fill multiple roles within various game systems. In my opinion, the role most congenial to him is the mezzala because he is able to cover large portions of the field, strengthen the midfield with physicality and intensity and be dangerous in the attacking phase. Then he can form the middle line in a two-man midfield and if necessary play as central defender, a role he has already occupied in an emergency. He has an excellent physical structure that allows him to win an important number of fights in the middle of the pitch and to dominate the game physically. He is often able to move opponents, overcome the man with power and stubbornness, win aerial duels and be a factor in the opponent's penalty area. A characteristic of him, in fact, is to score goals for the head or sides for his teammates thanks also to elevation and insertion times. To underline is the ease of running that he possesses: he does not seem to struggle and is able to perform a large number of high intensity runs, all favored by the young age. He is also equipped with an excellent change of pace and good speed. He prefers the use of his right foot with which he has an excellent basic technique but has also scored goals with the less gifted one where he can still improve. With a strong foot, he has no problems in any fundamental: he has enough quality to put down dirty balls to play, he can set the maneuver from behind, play with his teammates in the short or develop the action in amplitude with game changes. He is able to finish for his teammates and is gifted with an excellent shot from outside the box, both in precision and in power. He is a complete midfielder in everything: he recovers a high number of balls, is tough and decisive in tackling, has excellent readings of the opponent's intentions and is strong in interception and anticipation. He still has ample room for improvement and can become a great midfielder with important numbers in both phases of the game. At times he reminds me of Milinkovic-Savic.​

CHARACTERIAL DESCRIPTION
Peter has a very strong charachter and determination that led him to be one of the most utilized player of the team even though he is very young. Outside of the pitch he is a very quiet and friendly guy without any over the limit behaviour. He is quite beloved by the club that has an high consideration of him as player and person.

He is an important player for Debreceni to no to be relegated and considered the best talent they have. He is for sure a player that must be followed and taken before the competitors.​
