In 2013, Richard played for Goiás' U-15 side, where he scored 27 goals in 22 appearances. On 12 March 2016, he made his senior debut for Goiás as a 60th-minute substitute in a Campeonato Goiano match against Atlético Goianiense. He was considered the best talent of his generation for the club and it was there that he was close to sign for Barcelona, club that was scouting him and with his agent very close to the catalan club due to Neymar. On 20 September 2016, Richard signed a three-year contract with Brazilian giants Santos. While at Santos, he played in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. In that period he played together with Kaio Jorge (Juventus). On 13 April 2018, Richard signed with Liga MX side Tigres UANL. On 11 June 2018, Richard was loaned to Ascenso MX side Correcaminos. He made ten league appearances in the Apertura that season, before returning to Tigres in November 2018. In early 2019, Richard was loaned to Georgian Erovnuli Liga side Torpedo Kutaisi. He made thirteen league appearances that season, scoring three goals, and scored a brace in one Georgian Cup appearance. On 2 December 2019, after turning down offers from Europe, Richard was loaned to his hometown club, Aparecidense, so that he could be closer to his family. On 19 February 2020, Richard signed for Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC, but was unable to join the team that season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 4 December 2020, he re-signed to a multi-year contract. In 2013, Richard played for the Brazilian U15 team, he was the teammate of Matheus Pereira (Barcelona) and Leo Jaba (PAOK); Richard with the National Team scored two goals in fourteen appearances. |
DESCRIPTION
Richard Luca is a skilled winger able to play offensively on both sides of the pitch. He is tremendously fast and agile, he has a superb dribbling quality, moving the ball very quickly and becoming difficoult to controll by the opponents. He is a player that I believe can perform better on the left side, playing with his right foot in the last 30 meters. He is a player able to start the counterattacks thanks to his strong run and as well to play in very short spaces. He has a good ability in make pressure to the opponents. He has also a good shooting ability but he has to score more goals. He is in my opinion a talent to build that can bring big results.
