ABOUT MY WORK
The scout in football is comparable to a complete midfielder: he intercepts and conquers the information (the ball), sets the relationship (the restart) and refines the data with maximum precision and speed of execution (finishes for the attacker or even seeks him the final conclusion). The scout belongs to a group and works for the good of the group. To do my job, first of all, you have to have a lot of passion, because, especially when you work for first-class clubs, it is very difficult to find a good player and therefore many times the commitment is not compensated with the discovery. First of all, I need to know the players of my club in order to have a measure of their value and the roles where new players are needed. To achieve my job I have to see as many games as possible, especially live, I have to have an endless database of players and I try to speak as little as possible. I always watch the game alone, so as not to be distracted or influenced by comments from colleagues. I prefer the live game at the stadium to the video, although the latter can often be used for a final decision on the player, or an initial knowledge (because for example the player is on the other side of the world) and therefore before making an investment to go and see him , through video I can realize if the player is up to it. If it is positive at that point I will speak with the company to organize the trip. When I have to report to the Mister on the next opposing team, it is essential to go to the stadium, but in a second half is also very useful to watch the video, for example for the inactive balls, or perhaps for the confirmation of some nuances, which in the excitement of the game I am not sure I have read them completely. For me it is not important to write many pages to describe a player, I have to know what to write in order to be able to make the relationship like photography or video. Its easy to spot the best player, the good scout is someone who sees perspective in a player who hasn't shown his skills completely.
